This popular and fun devotion will be held on Sunday 16th February 2020 at the 10am Mass at St Mary’s and at 5pm at Good Shepherd. The orange represents the world and the sweets remind us of the four seasons we enjoy each year. But at the heart of life must be Jesus and so the candle symbolises Christ’s sovereignty over the world; the red ribbon shows His blood poured out for our redemption. Come and celebrate Christ’s activity in the world He loves!
At both Masses, some of our children will read the bible passages, hymns will be sung, a sermon preached and Mass will be offered as we keep the Lord’s day holy.
We will also at these Masses be making a Presentation to Luke, our Children’s Worker, who leaves us for pastures new. We thank God for all He’s done to build up God’s Kingdom in our churches.
